Ann Hyde, Ordinand
Ann
Hyde
is new to St Michael's team in November
2008. An ordinand in her second year of
mixed-mode training at
St
John’s
Theological
College,
Nottingham, Ann comes from
St
Martin's Church, Low Marple, but has
recently spent some time attached to the Anglican
Chaplaincy in Nice. Before being called to
ordained ministry Ann was on the Board of
Eastern Cheshire Primary Care Trust, but for
most of her career was an editor specialising in
medical journals and books. Ann says that
finding herself studying theology has come as
quite a shock!

Ann
has also had a life-long interest in the visual
arts, particularly textiles, and for many years
spent a day a week as an artist / teacher at an
arts centre in
Manchester
that helped people to manage mental illness. Ann
hopes to be able to integrate her interest in
the creative arts into her church ministry. Ann
attempts to stave off an expanding waistline by
walking her dog, a smooth coated griffon called
Tassie. Thanks to the pet passport scheme Tassie
was able to accompany Ann to Nice – where he
even occasionally went to church services!
